Welcome.

This website a place of both old and new projects, and I dedicate it to the tough things in life. Much of it is composed of my writing, which deals with many issues. Here is a place where I have been real, honest and, above, inspirational. The goal of publicizing much of the content on here is so that others can read it, especially if they need to read it. It's as simple as that.

"If a man does not keep pace with
                           his companions, perhaps it is
because he hears the beat of a different drummer. Let him step
to the music he hears, however measured or far away." Thoreau

Always dream and shoot higher than you know how to.
Don't bother just to be better than your contemporaries
or predecessors.

Try to be better than yourself.

~William Faulkner~

Over 10 years of writing, career making and inspiration.

Whether you've heard of me or not, I, Jessica Wettig Miles, have been on the internet radar for over 10 years. Starting when I was 12, I published a poem on drunk driving for the Bomis website. Since then, I've continued writing poetry, short stories and much more. This website arose in 2002, mostly as a hobby and outlet for self-publishing my poems.
There's little I like to change on this site over the years, as it has become somewhat of a scrapbook. My career path landed me in the world of journalism, where I learned new skills of writing and embraced the world of multi-media anymore. In short, my goal is to be everywhere--or at least give you some options when you google my name.

It's hard to transform something you started when you were 14, and to decide where your next step is for it when you're 25 and mainly use blogs. However, I always have ideas--so don't get bored just yet.
